Mrs. Edna M. Axt, 68, of 801 Oak street, died Tuesday morning, August 28, at the Hudson Memorial hospital after a lingering illness.
The daughter of Abbie (Ellis) and James McConnell, she was born March 16, 1888 at Blakley, Minnesota, and was a graduae of Mankato State College.
On Sepember 27, 1911 she was married to Otto Axt at LeSeuer, Minnesota, then moved to Hudson, which has since been her home. For the past four years she has resided with her daughter, Mrs. Philip Beaudry. Her husband preceded her in death Janaury 8, 1952 at Hudson.
Mrs. Axt was a member of the Hudson Methodist church and Hudson Chapter No. 81 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruth (Mrs. Philip Beaudry), Hudson, and Janet (Mrs. clark Michaelson), Fresno, California, six grandchildren and one nephew.
Funeral services were Thursday, August 30, at 2 p.m. from the Jasper-Kramer Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Fintel officiating. Interment was in Willow River Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Carl Redman, Joe Gartmann, John Beaudry, S. N. Swanson, Eugene Beaudry and Lawrence Williamson.
