Abbie Jane Ellis was born at Belle Plaine, Minnesota, November 21, 18?9 [maybe 1859]. Later her family moved to Keene, N.H. In 1875 they returned to Belle Plaine, Minnesota. On March 20, 1878, she was at Jordan, Minnesota.
Mr. and Mrs. McConnell lived a long and happy married life. He passed away April 14, 1924.
Mrs. McConnell died in Hudson, May 7, 1927. She left to mourn her passing one sister, Mrs. May Cassidy, Ellis, Hunington, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Janet Sistek, Minneapolis, Mrs. Otto Axt of Hudson, two granddaughters, one grandson and a great grandson.
Rev. Harkness of St. Paul assisted by Rev. Keen, conducted the funeral services atthe home of Mrs. Axt Sunday afternoon. Monday morning the body was taken to LeSuer, Minnesota for burial.
