Mikel O. Floren, born 28th of February 1856. Floren estate, Stjordalen, Norway. Marit Oldsdaugher Brende born 13th of January 1953 on Lower Brende Estate, Meraker, Norway. He emigrated in 1876 to Minnehaha County. She in 1874 to Minnehaha County. Married in 187i, moved so on there home 2 1/2 miles southwest from Dell Rapids. They have five children; Olaf, born in Baltic, lives now near Webster, South Dakota and does farming; Beret, born in Dell Rapids, lives now near Baltic, South Dakota; Ole, born in Dell Rapids lives near Webster; Julia born in Dell Rapids and is Chiropractor, now in Webster; Melvin born in Dell Rapids and does farming. Olaf is married to Gertrude, a daughter of Photographer P. E. Lasseson; Ole married to Tille Lensegrav. Julia is unmarried and is a doctor in Webster, Melvin is married to Olga Paulson and lives with the father on the home place.
