Rites Are Held For Eberhard Fahrion
Funeral rites were conducted on Saturday morning of last week for Mr.Eberhard
Fahrian, wellknown farmer of the Harris community, who passed away Wednesday
morning, August 29th, at the Rush City Hospital. Mr. Fahrian's death came
after an illness of about two years of heart trouble.
Eberhard Fahrian was born at Wortenburg, Germany, on May 15, 1883, and came to
America with his parents, at the age of seven years. The family came to
Minnesota and settled near White Bear. In 1914, Mr. Fahrian was married to
Mary Chapman. To this union two sons were born, Finley and Alfred. The family
moved to Harris in 1920 and have resided on the same farm since that time.
Mr. Fahrian is survived by his wife and two sons. Finley, the oldest of the
boys, is serving in the United States navy and Alfred makes his home in
Chicago. A large group of neighbors and friends join in extending sympathy to
the family in the death of this husband and father.
