Miss Frances Friend, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Friend, became the bride of Raymond Thome, son of Mrs. Nickolas Thome of Hudson, on Tuesday morning, May 12, at nine o'clock at St. Patrick's curch in Hudson. The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. Monsignor J. M. Owens.
Miss Frances Beaudry, Hudson, was the bride's only attendant. Michael Thome, St. Paul, a nephew of Raymond Thome, was the groom's attendant.

Frances Mary Thome, 88, a former resident of Hudson, died Friday, March 29,at her home in New Richmond.
She was born in Hudson March 6, 1903, the daughter of Robert and Mary
(Siegel) Friend, and attended St. Patrick's Parochial School in Hudson. Later she attended St. Benedict's High School in St. Joseph's, Minn.
She worked as a switchboard operator in Hudson for St. Croix Telephone Co.
and Wisconsin Telephone Co. for 19 years prior to her marriage to Raymond Thome March 12, 1942.
In the late 1960's she and her husband moved to New Richmond.
In New Richmond she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and Catholic Ladies Guild of Immaculate Conception Church.
For more than 50 years she was a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Robert E. Friend, in 1957.
Surviving is her husband, Raymond Thome, of New Richmond. Frances (Beaudry) Powers and Theresa (Gartman) Dierks, both of Hudson are cousins. Mary Thome of Spring Valley is a sister-in-law.
Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, April 2, at Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church in New Richmond with the Rev. Charles J. Murphy and the Rev. Daniel Dahlberg of River Falls, officiating.
Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery where Ralph Berends, Gordon
Keyes, Joe Thome, Greg Thome, James Thome and Jim Zoch were pallbearers.
Cullen-Hegstrom Funeral Home in New Richmond was in charge of arrangements.
