during the War of the Revolution were as follows-- "Joseph Brackett, Berwick, Private, Capt. Ebenezer Sullivans Co., Col. James Scammons Regt., Muster Roll dated 1 Aug 1775, enlisted 5 May 1775, service 3 months 3 days. Also,
Private, Capt. Samuel Grant's Co., Col. Storers Regt., enlisted 14 Aug 1777, discharged 30 Nov 1777 at Tuemans Heights, service 4 months 3 days with Northern Army. Also, Private, Capt. Jonathan Andrews Co. Col. Joseph Primes
Regt. under command of Brig General Wadsworth, enlisted 13 May 1780, discharged 6 Dec 1780, service 6 months 24 days.
Note: The D.A.R. was founded in 1890. To belong one must furnish proof of lineage from an ancestor who served in the Revolutionary War between 1775 and 1783 or certain other services as outlined by the National Society, including
descent from a signer of the Declaration of Indenpendence, member of the Boston Tea Party, etc.
