Mrs. Waldo Hammargren had a party for Mrs. Christine Hawkinson, her mother, celebrating her 74th birthday. Those present were Mrs. Danell, Mrs. F. Reed, Mrs. Nels Hanson and Mrs. Charley Swanson.

Funeral Rites Are Held for Christine Hawkinson
Christine Hawkinson (nee Johnson) was born in Torpe, Vester Norland, Sweden, December 31, 1859, was baptized and confirmed in Sweden, came to Cambridge in 1878 at the age of 19 years.
On April 19, 1884, she was married to Peter M. Hawkinson and settled down on the farm south of Harris, where they lived until his death in 1927. To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters.
Mrs. Hawkinson has been a member of the Harris Lutheran Church since its organization and was a faithful worker there as long as her health permitted. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her daughter, Theresa Hammargren, with the exception of a new months spent at Harris.
Mrs. Hawkinson suffered a stroke on April 20, 1944, from which she did not recover. She passed away on June 20, 1945, in Cambridge, Minn., at the age of 85 years, 5 months, 20 days, after being confined to her bed for 14 months.
She was a woman of good character, respected and loved by everyone, who knew her. She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Fred of Seattle, Washington, and Edwin, of Riverside, California; two daughters, Nell Ackerman, of Minneapolis and Theresa Hammargren, of Cambridge; ten grandchildren and one great grandson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 25th, from the First Lutheran Church of Harris with Rev. Harold E. Peterson, of Cambridge officiating. The pallbearers were Albin Hanson, Henry Johnson, Fredolph Martinson, Harry Martinson, Elmer Lofgren, Willie Swanson, all of Harris.
Interment was made in the Union cemetery south of Harris.

Funeral services held Monday, June 25, at 2 p.m. from the Lutheran church at Marris marked the passing of Mrs. Christine Hawkinson, nee Johnson, on Wednesday, June 20. The Rev. Harold Peterson of Cambridge conducted the services. Two vocal solos were sung by Wilbert Johnson, student pastor of Harris church, accompanied by Miss Krantz at the piano. Those who served as pallbearers were Albin Hanson, Henry Johnson, Fridolph Martinson, Harry Martinson, Elmer Lofgren and Willie Swanson, all of Harris. Burial was made in the Union cemetery south of Harris.
