The Stark Branch of the American Red Cross was organized May 24, 1918 at which
time the following officers and committees were elected: Chairman, Wm. E.
Hassel; vice chairman, Miss Victoria Hawkinson; treasurer, Mrs. Wm. E. Hassel;
secretary, Miss Ethel Swanson.

Directors elected included: Miss Victoria Hawkinson (one year) and Miss Gladys
Hawkinson (two years). Miss Ella Hawkinson was a member of the Finance
Commitee. Gladys was also a member of the Sewing Committee.

In December, 1943, at the time of her mother's death, she resided at 1383
Edmund Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a teacher. She is buried on the
the same lot with her parents and sister Ella Hawkinson.
