Mrs. L. C. Axt Dies After Long Illness; Funeral Next Friday
Mrs. L. C. Axt, a well known resident of North Hudsonm died at her home early Wednesday morning, December 18. Mrs. Axt had been in ill health for several years, and since Thanksgiving Day of this year she had been confined to her bed. However, no one realized that her condition was so serious and critical until near the end. She was nearly 58 years old.
Mrs. Axt, whose maiden name was Sara Haggerty, was born at Shieldsville, Minn., on Feb. 2, 1872. On Oct. 31, 1899 she was married to Mr. Axt at Minneapolis. They lived there until the family moved to North Hudson about 29 years ago, where they have since made their home.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, all of North Hudson. They are: Mrs. Genevieve Shern, Mrs. Natalie Hennessey, Miss Lorraine Axt. Two sisters, Mrs. James Connell of Minneapolis and Mrs. Walter Neilson of Crocker, S.D., and four grandchildren, are also bereaved.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning from St. Patrick's church, Rev. Father Peter Rice officiating.
