Mrs. Anna Floren passed away at her home here at 7 p.m. Sunday, November 24. Had she lived until January 18 she would have been 88 years of age.
Anna Hagseth was born in Trondhjem, Norway, and with her husband Ole Floren and 11 year old son Joseph came to America in 1879, settling in Goodhue county where her parents and brother resided. Later they moved to Willmar where the husband died 30 years ago. For the past 20 years Mrs. Florin has resided in Grove City. She leaves one son, Joseph, one grandson, Oliver Floren, and a small geat grandson, all of Willmar, and a nephew, Peter Hagseth of Kenyon, Goodhue county.
Funeral rites will be today, Wednesday, from her home at 1:30 and at 2:00 p.m. from the Norwegian Luthran Church with Rev. Weeks officiating. Interment will be in Vikors Cemetery, Willmar, beside her husband.

Ten acres were given by the Great Northern Railroad in 1872 for a church and cemetery. In 1873 each family [donated] two logs to build a "log" church. Present church was built in 1897. The first burial was in 1882.
