Quarter Century Club Open to Don Lindstrom
On August 25, Donald Lindstrom, of Hudson, will complete 25 years of service with the Andersen Corp. of Bayport. He will now become eligible to join the firm's Quarter Century Club.
Lindstrom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lindstrom, was born in Hudson, Novermber 25, 1933.
His parents owned a farm in that area and like everyone else raised on a farm, he knew the meaning of work at a very early age. He attended grade school at McKinley school in St. Joseph township, then went to Hudson High school where he graduated in May 1951.
After graduation he continued to farm on the home place until he came to work at Andersens. He also drove a bulk milk truck throughout the local area on weekends which enabled him to really get to know the people in the surrounding communities.
He started at Andersen's August 25, 1952.
He and Diane June Faber were married Sept. 22, 1956 and lived in Hudson until last month when they purchased a home on a 15 acre tract of land in St. Joseph township. They have two sons, both at home.
Lindstrom's wife also works at Andersen's in the traffic department. His brother, Les, is also an Andersen employee.
Several years ago the Lindstroms turned in their snowmobiles and got started with the raising and showing of Arabain horses.
Since that time their boys have won between 25-30 ribbons in the various classes of horsemanship. Last year they went to 19 horse shows and already this year they have participated in six. It is a family project and keeps all of them quite busy over the summer months. Deer hunting locally, in northern Wisconsin and out west, is one of his favorite pasttimes along with maintaining a small garden.
He also was actively involved in community affairs, serving on the North Hudson village board for 11 years and on the St. Croix County board for five years.
