Jun 19, 1725 from Philip Briscoe of St Mary's [County], physician, to Samuel Swann of CC, carpenter, for 5000 lbs of tobacco, all that tract of land formerly belonging to Edwd Swann Sr, being part of a tract called Egglestone, lying in CC, "& bounded as expressed in a deed of gift thereof to his daughter Susannah (to her made in consideration of her marriage)", bounded by sd Edward's own line, containing about 80 acres. Signed - Phill Briscoe. Wit - Jno Fendall*, Jno Briscoe*. This deed was acknowledged by Philip Briscoe and Elizabeth, his wife.

2. Dr. Philip Briscoe, Jr., b. 1680 and d. bef 11/1743 in St. Mary's Co. He married first, Susanna Williamson, dau. of Captain Ralph Williamson (probable son of Samuel Williamson and ___Barber) bef 1717; second, Elizabeth ____; and third, Susanna Wilson.
His children (I have them all by Susanna Williamson at this point until better dates are available):
a. Dr. John Briscoe, b. 3/1717 in St. Mary's Co. and d. 12/7/1778 in Frederick Co., VA. He married Elizabeth McMillan bef 1746. He married second, Ann Lamar, b. Queen Ann Co., MD after 1752. According to DAR records, he married second, Eleanor Magruder 3/27/1776. I don't know which is correct.
b. George Cole Briscoe, b. bef 1732 and d. 6/7/1805 in Frederick Co., VA. He married Frances McMillan.
c. Philip Briscoe, b. bef 1743.
d. Edward Briscoe, b. bef 1743.
e. James Briscoe, b. bef 1743.
