Jul 2, 1739 from Francis Baltrop, late of CC but now of King George County, Virginia, planter, and Ann, his wife, to George Thomas of CC, planter, for 110 £ and 17,000 lbs tobacco, the moiety or one half part of a certain tract of land called Bowlston, lying in Kent County on the north side of Chesher River, said to contain 500 acres. Also, the moiety of one other tract of land called Bowles' Purchase, said to contain about 87 acres. Also, the moiety or one half of one other tract of land called Bowles' Purchase [sic] in CC on Potomack River, said to contain about 500 acres. Also all of sd Francis Baltrop and Ann, his wife, their estate in the moiety or half part of my other tracts of land, goods, chattels, debts, dues, or personal estate in Maryland to which sd Francis and Ann have any title, and they hereby grant George Thomas full power to recover the same.
