Dorcas E. Tobin 96 of Mt. Jackson passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Consulate Health Care of Woodstock. Services will be at a later date. Dorcas was born on April 28, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Winston C. and Marion C. Furr Ballenger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlyle A. Tobin; 4 children, Barbara J. Kinder, Winston Tobin, Brenda Cross, and Wesley Tobin; 2 grandchildren, Sandra Parham and Denny Dennis, and 2 siblings, Rosela Cameron, and Ola Mae Cornell She is survived by 2 daughters, Paulette Dennis of Mt. Jackson, and Karen Brown of Strasburg; 26 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; 15 great, great grandchildren, and 4 sisters, Charlotte Cameron of Culpeper, Irene O'Brian of Warrenton, Patricia Marcey of Basye, and Helen Yows of West Lake, California.Endnotes
