Death
Mont Byron Furr, 76, Creve Coeur, Illinois, died unexpectedly at 7:45 a.m. October 23, 1991, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois. He was born June 11, 1915, at Veedersburg, the son of Freeman and Nora Edna Clickner Furr. He was married to Fauneil Smail February 27, 1944 at Veedersburg. She survives. He was a graduate of Veedersburg High School and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a charter member of the First Christian Church at Creve Coeur. He had been a resident of Creve Coeur since 1948 and a former resident of Peoria and Veedersburg. Surviving, besides his wife, are: one sister, Mrs. James (Naomi Ruth) Kesner, Brookhaven, Mississippi; two brothers, Dr. Jack Furr, Hillsboro, and James Furr, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, with military services, Pastor James Sandy officiating.
