Death
Veedersburg - Freeman Furr, 88, retired railroader and barber, died today in Covington Nursing Home where he had resided since 1975. He retired from the railroad in 1962 at Pekin, Illinois. Born July 3, 1889 at Veedersburg he was a son of Jacob and Mary Catherine Kerr Furr. He was married June 4, 1913 to Nora Edna Clickner. She died in 1976. Survivors include 3 sons: Mont Byron of Creve Coeuer, Ill; Jack Dean of Hillsboro and James Richard of LaCrosse, Wis; a daughter, Mrs. Naomi Ruth Kenner of Brookhaven, Miss; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dickerson Funeral Home here with Rev. Thomas G. Howell officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.Crawfordsville Journal Review 27 Feb 1978
