Death

FOWLER -- Steven G. Furr, 58, of Fowler, died Wednesday evening, June 18, 2008, at his residence. Born April 30, 1950, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Gerald Furr. He graduated from Benton Central High School in 1968. Mr. Furr worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation in Fowler for 39 years. His hobbies were rebuilding engines and going to race tracks. Surviving are a son, Steven E. Furr, a daughter, Margaret A. Speck (husband: Charlie), his mother, Martha Hamilton Furr Hall, and a sister, Mary M. Legg (husband: David J.), all of Fowler. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Windler Funeral Home, with funeral there 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, the Rev. Joshua Johnson officiating. Interment Fowler Cemetery. Also surviving is a grandson, Johnathan. Memorials to Benton County Heart Association.
