Death

ROCKVILLE- Helen M. Abernathy Furr, 88 of Rockville and formerly of Montezuma died at 9:22 am Sunday, June 12, 2005 in Vermillion Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. She retired from RMC in Attica and the former A.F. Dormeyer and Son Industries in Rockville. She was born April 30, 1917 in Fountain County, Indiana to the late Lucky Abernathy and to Florence Keller Abernathy. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Furr. Survivors include three sons, Sidney Furr and his wife Colleen Furr of Rockville, Ralph Furr and his wife Maxine Furr of Loveland, Colorado and Daniel Leroy Furr and his wife Karen Furr of Montezuma; two daughters, Pat Vogus and her husband Donald Vogus of Indianapolis and Vera Nall of Crawfordsville; one sister Sylvia Coffing of Covington, Indiana; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Arnold Ray Furr and two grandsons, James and Richard Nall, six brothers and four sisters. She attended the Cooper's Chapel Church in Stringtown. Services are 11:00 am Thursday, June 16, in Gooch Funeral Home at 112 Howard St. in Rockville, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial is in Rosemont Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation is from 9:00 am until time of services on Thursday.
