Notes
Death
LEESBURG, April 14 (Special). Investigation of the shotgun death of a mother of two small boys Tuesday night was being pressed here today. Loudoun County Sheriff Roger P. Powell said it has not been determined whether the death of Mrs. Dorothy K. Furr, 27, was murder or suicide. Mrs. Furr was found on the living room floor of her home in Fairview, a suburb of Leesburg, about 9 p.m., by her father Raymond Keyes. She was wounded in the abdomen and a 12-gauge shotgun was found nearby. Mr. Keyes said he heard the blast from an upstairs room. Forrest D. Furr, the victim’s husband, was asleep in an upstairs room, Sheriff Powell said. He said no note was found. Dr. W. P. Frazier, medical examiner, said the blast was fired at close range.Endnotes
