Death

Brighton - Doyle L. Furr, 83, of Brighton, Michigan, passed away on August 26, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. He was born to parents Hubert and Pansy Furr, on October 6, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan. Doyle graduated from Cody High School and then worked at Western Electric for ten years. While at Western Electric, he completed the Famous Artist Course, which led to his 31-year career as an Illustrator at Ford Motor Company. In addition, he spent a few years selling real estate and was a volunteer probation officer for the Livonia and Plymouth/Canton court systems. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ellen (Sparks) to whom he married on October 27, 1956. He was also predeceased by his parents Hubert and Pansy Furr, his sister Barbara Ashby, bother Leland Furr, brother Ronald Furr. He is survived by his sister Janice Kittle-Kohlhorst (Loren), daughter Julie Hingelberg (Ed), son Stephen Furr (Christena), granddaughter Rachael Cooper (Sean), grandson Stephen Furr (Hanh), grandson Eric Ferraiuolo (Leslie), great-grandson Zanon Cooper, great-granddaughter Vivian Verploegen, great-grandson Maxwell Ferraiuolo, and several nieces and nephews. Doyle loved meeting new people and finding out about their lives. He always had a smile on his face and a positive outlook on life, no matter what challenges came his way. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial service plans have not been finalized. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan at hom.org.
