Death
Donald C. Furr, 72, of Grantsville, died Friday, Jan. 21, 1994, at his residence of carbon monoxide poisoning because of a faulty heat exchanger. He was born in Glenville, a son of the late Gilbert and Erma Brannon Furr. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and had owned and operated Furr's Auto Sales in Grantsville since 1956. He attended Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving are two stepsons, Thomas Ullum and Harold "Dick" Ullum, both of Grantsville; two brothers, Richard Furr of Columbus, Ohio, and Willard Furr of Glenville; three sisters, Rosalee Postalwait of Spencer, Patty Stacy of Clarksburg and Willa Jean Shamblin of Akron; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gilbert Furr, Jr., and Harland Furr. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville.
