Death
FAIRMONT — Betty Barcelene Fahey, 84, of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019, at the Pierpont Center at Fairmont campus. She was born on February 12, 1934, in Glennville, a daughter of the late Henry and Ona (Furr) Nicholson. After graduating high school, Betty worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses and attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Fairmont. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and flowers, as well as her family, especially all of her nieces and nephews. Betty is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Fahey, whom she married in 1962. Betty is also survived by sister, Minoka Collins; nephews, Roger Hardman, Gary Norman, Larry Norman and Jeff Collins; nieces: Joyce Boone, June Hurt, Konda Limer, Deborah Arnett, Marsha Collins, Jane Collins and Vicki Nicholson; nephew-in-law, Gary Dodd; and several loving great-nieces and nephews, including Shannon Beafore and her husband, Ronnie. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by brothers, Burl Nicholson and Earl Nicholson; sisters, Jean Marshall and Helen Norman; and niece, Judy Dodd. In keeping with Betty’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at 2 p.m. with Father Jojan Joseph CST officiating.Endnotes
