Death
Mrs Emma Jane Furr, 83 and a resident of Waynesboro for 54 years, died at her home, 737 Pine Avenue, at 11:40 p. m., yesterday, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Etter Funeral home. The Rev. John R. Hendricks, pastor of Main Street Methodist church, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery. Mrs. Furr was the daughter of the late William and Eilizabeth Lam. She was born in Lima, Ohio in 1867 and moved to Waynesboro in 1893. She leaves her husband, J Harry Furr, retired postmaster of Waynesboro; one daughter, Mrs. Getrude Fry: two grandaughters, Miss Jean Jones and Miss Lois Furr, all of Waynesboro. Active pallbearers include R. H. Clemmer, Russell Henderson, Harry Nash, Olaf Oas, J. Paul Click, and L. P. Dillon. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. B. H.
