Death

LIMA — Betty L. Furr, 78, died at 8:10 a.m. Aug. 19, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born June 26, 1935, in Canton to Alfred H. and Gertrude Mae Thompson Cramer, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 15, 1953, she married Roy B Furr Sr., who died July 7, 1997. Mrs. Furr was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was a caregiver to her four-legged friends. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. Survivors include three sons, Roy B. Furr Jr., Ernest D. (Christina K.) Furr and Donald E. Furr, all of Lima; three daughters, Sharon K. (Robin) Cavinder, of Wapakoneta, Sondra L. (Fredrick W.) Lawrence, of Lima, and Donna M. (Curt L.) Anderson, of Cridersville; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gary Cramer, Jackie Cramer and Alfred Cramer, all of Tennessee, and Russell Cramer, of Columbus Grove; and a sister, Rose Marie Cramer, of Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Furr; and a granddaughter, Pamela Sue Doyle. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
