Death
Mr. Roy B. Furr, 64, of 733 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, died Monday, Dec. 1, at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. He was the husband of Betty Furr, who predeceased him in 1981. Born in Leetown, W.Va., Mr. Furr was the son of the late Norvel C. and Mary B. Grubbs Furr. Mr. Furr was the owner of Sonotone Hearing Aid Service for 40 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hagerstown, and was a member of the Foresters Bowling League. Surviving are aunts, nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, from the funeral home with the Rev. Robert L. Regenold officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown. The family requests flowers be omitted.
