Philip Hamilton FURR

(April 2, 1907 - February 23, 1983)

He was elected to the Boxing Hall of Fame. Furr was unsuccessful in a title attempt against Welterweight Champion Henry Armstrong in September 1940. Picture is a thigh length 4½x7½ inches glossy of Furr in a boxing pose, inscribed “Best Wishes to Armand Sicilla Furr." Armand Sicilla was also a weltherweight boxer.
