Death
DRIVER EXONERATED IN FATAL ACCIDENTDeath of Alexander Furr Called Accidental at Inquest Here.
A verdict of accidental death was returned yesterday at an inquest in the case of Alexander Furr, 65, of 110 C street, who was fatally injured Wednesday night when struck by an automobile at Massachusetts avenue and Second street. The verdict exonerated Norman E. Rogers, jr., 23, of the 1400 block of R street, driver of the automobile that struck Furr. Furr is said to have walked from behind a parked car in front of Rogers’ machine. Rogers took the injured man to Casualty Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Furr is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Laura Pettit, Mrs. Mattie Pullman and Mrs Effie Suphin; three sons, Lewis, Philip and Homer Furr and two stepchildren, May Furr and Henry Hoppe.
