Death
May 28, 2002 -- Mary “Mary Mom” Furr, 74, lifelong Leesburg resident, died May 20 in Falls Church. Born in Loudoun County, Mrs. Furr was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church and a babysitter for hundreds of children for 40 years. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred M. Furr. She is survived by her daughter Nancy F. Foglesong of Leesburg; son Alfred N. “Mickey” Furr of Leesburg; brothers Robert W. “Tuffy” Furr of Charlestown, WV and Forrest D. “Foxy” Furr of Leesburg; sister Anna “Tootie” Mullenex of Purcellville; grandchildren Bo Foglesong of Leesburg; Mickey Shane Furr of Simpsonville, SC and Maribeth McDonald of Leesburg; and great granddaughter Brittany Morgan Foglesong. Funeral services were held May 24 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Ward officiating. Interment was in Union Cemetery.
