Death

Lefa B. Furr, 79, of MonPointe Continuing Care, Morgantown, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Lost City, a daughter of the late Samuel Tilden and Elizabeth Funkhouser Foltz. She was a seamstress at Fairmont General Hospital and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was a union stewardess of the Local RWDSU at Fairmont General Hospital, a member of the South Farmington Homemakers and the Director of Women Missionary Group of her local church. She is survived by one son and spouse, the Rev. Robert R. and Cathy Furr of Core; one sister, Cleta Fawley of Mathias; and one grandson, Robert J. Furr. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Lester Foltz, Lonnie Foltz, Joe Foltz, Luther Foltz, Tilden Foltz and Arch Foltz; three sisters, Minnie Marie Jones, Roxie Strawderman and Della Miller; and two infant siblings. Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, March 24 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:30, Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at the funeral home with Pastor Carl Buckner officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris, Pa.
