Death
Funeral services for Kemp B. Furr, 52, who died Thursday at his home, 2309 North Madison street, Arlington, will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon in theColumbia Baptist Church, Falls Church. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery. Middleburg, Va. Mr. Furr at one time was master of hounds for William duPont at Wilmington, Del. He lived in Wilmington for 15 years before he went to Arlington in 1941. A native of Middleburg, he was the son of the late Kemp D. and Margaret M. Furr. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Slemp Furr; a daughter. Miss Joan S. Furr, 18, a senior at Washington-Lee High School; four brothers, Henry Clayton Furr, of Unison, Va.; Buckner M. Furr, of Marshall, Va., and Walter L. and Carl H. Furr, both of Middleburg, and six sisters, Mrs. Edith F. Johnson and Mrs. Annie L. Wiltshire, both of Arlington; Mrs. Lottie A. Presgraves of Leesburg, Va.; Mrs. Violet F. Hines and Mrs. Margaret M. Nichols, both of Arlington, and Mrs. Etta M. Hensley of Middleburg.
