Individual Details

George Richard FURR

(September 29, 1859 - December 20, 1935)

Lived in the Leighsburg, Virginia.

I found out that my great-grandfather had a business in Denver Co. Called Two Capitals, he was the editor. This was in 1890. I wrote the Colorado archives and they are looking him up for me. I do not know whether it was books or a newspaper. Are you interested if I find out anything?

I've got a George R. Furr, b. abt. 1859 in Loudoun Co., VA. He appears in the household of Richard E. Furr & Octavia Franklin in Loudoun Co. in the 1860 & 1870 census, so I assume he's their son. (You might try the Loudoun Co., Birth Register Index to see if there's an entry for George for further proof.) He also might be the George Furr, who appears as "nephew" in the household of James McMichael in LaSalle Co., IL, 1880 census.

Hope this helps,
