Death
Frank A. (Jay) Lester, 72, died unexpectedly at 2:15 AM Monday, July 5, 1948, in his Lafayette home. Born at Brookston, he was first married to Gertrude Welch, who died in 1908. In 1914, he married Faith Rothenberger, who survives. Mr. Lester was an employee of Munger Lumber Company for many years. He later farmed near West Point, returning to Lafayette in 1929. At the time of his death, he was a fireman at the Lahr hotel. Surviving with his wife are eleven children, Mrs. Julius Stotler of Terre Haute; Mildred, Norma Jean; twins Leo and Cleo; Frank, Jr., Harold, Bernard, Kenneth, and Harry Lester, all of Lafayette; and George Lester, a patient at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA.Lafayette Journal & Courier - Mon 7/5/1948
