Death
Word has been received here of the death of Johnny Edwin Furr, 36, of St. Stephen's Church, Va., who was killed in an automobile accident April 15. Mr. Furr was the husband of the former Sarah Winn Murr of Burlington. He was killed in an auto mishap that occurred near his home in St. Stephen's Church. He was buried following final rites April 17 in Augusta Memorial Park in Stauton, Va. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two children, John Edwin Furr II and Sarah Marcella Furr, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira E. Furr of Stauton, Va.; and one brother, Ernest Lee Furr of Waynesville, Va.Daily Times-News, Burlington, North Carolina, 4/26/1965
