Death
LYNCHBURG — Beulah Gatewood Furr, 83, of Lynchburg, Va. died Saturday in a Lynchburg hospital. Born in Red Starr, W.Va. on Feb. 16, 1905, she was a daughter of the late William F. Gatewood and Barbara Amick Gatewood. Mrs. Furr was a retired LPN with Central Virginia Training Center. She is survived by two sons, James N. Furr and R. Wyatt Furr, both of Lynchburg; one step-son, Charles E. Furr of Staunton; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel G. Swann and Mrs. Marie G. Plaster, both of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren; two great-grand-children. Graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Big Island, Va. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Diuguid Rivermont Chapel, Lynchburg, Va.The Daily News Leader, Staunton, Virginia, September 25, 1988
