BirthJan 1740Birth date from Van Alstyne. Lawrence & brother Harmon were the founders of a large Ontario Co clan of Knickerbockers. - Amenia, Dutchess County, NY
Marriage11 Feb 1767From church records. It appears he also had a wife Mary, based on tombstones of youngsters Silas & Samson Knickerbocker. Deborah and Mary might have been the same person, but I'm showing them separately, for now. - Amenia, Dutchess, New York, USA - Deborah (1stwoHarman) MARTIN
Residence1799Amenia, Dutchess, New York, USA
Residence1801Amenia, Dutchess, New York, USA
Property1808In 1808 and 1809, Lawrence sold parcels for 1 cent each to his kids. No doubt: the deeds contain the words "son" or "daughter". Sons Benjamin, David, Lawrence Jr. Daughter Mary. - Gorham, Ontario County, New York, USA
Property1809In 1809, Lawrence sold 100 acres to Harmen Knickerbocker for $500. The deed does not say how the two men were related. Clearly not father and son (since Lawrence sold land for 1 cent to his kids.) My guess is that Harmen was brother of Lawrence. - Gorham, Ontario, New York, United States
Residence1810Gorham, Ontario, New York, United States
Death1814Will was witnessed in May 1814, and proved in July 1814. Left everything to son Benjamin. No mention of any other relatives. (Wife was already gone, and he had already transferred property to each child for 1 cent each.) - Ontario County, New York, USA
