Frank Felton "Bunk" Higginbotham

Mr. Frank (Bunk) Higginbotham, Sr., 80, of Hamburg, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at his residence in Hamburg. Mr. Higginbotham was a native of Ashley County and a life long resident of Hamburg. He worked at Barnes Saw Mill for 40 years and he was a water well driller. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish and garden and he was a great dad and granddad.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Bates Higginbotham in 2001 and his parents, Gaston & Janie Venters Higginbotham.
He is survived by three sons, Frank Higginbotham Jr. and wife, Kathryn, Billy Ray Higginbotham and Lamar Higginbotham and wife, Janice, all of Hamburg; a daughter, Beverly Mosley and husband, Wayne, of Crossett; four brothers, Lavon, Pete, Norman and James Higginbotham all of Hamburg; four sisters, Annie Jo Smith of Crossett, Betty Eubanks of Hamburg; Louise Pelton of Eudora and Margaret A. Riley of Hamburg; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Bates, Rev. Timmy Williams and Rev. Michael Reese officiating. Burial will be in the Trafalgar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brian Higginbotham, Larry Smith, Dewayne Bussell, Wayne Mosley, Walter Hill and Chad Rice. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church and Luther Richardson.
