James Edward Higginbotham

James Edward Higginbotham, 88, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in Little Rock. Mr. Higginbotham was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and a 1952 graduate of Hamburg High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict, and worked as a Salesman for Frito Lay for 30 years. He was always willing to lend a hand, could fix anything, and enjoyed helping others with home projects. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaston and Janie Venters Higginbotham; a sister, Louise Pelton and three brothers, Ralph "Pete" Higginbotham, Frank F. "Bunk" Higginbotham, and Lavon "Slick" Higginbotham.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie Fuller Higginbotham of Hamburg; three sons, Jamey Higginbotham and wife, Michele, of Houston, Texas, Scott Higginbotham and Mark Higginbotham and wife, Sherry, all of Monticello; three sisters, Annie Jo Smith of Crossett, Betty Eubanks of Hamburg and Margaret Riley of Little Rock; a brother, Norman Higginbotham and wife, Merlyn, of Hamburg; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 10 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Trafalgar Cemetery with Glen Lawson and Hope Higginbotham officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Blake Higginbotham, Chase Higginbotham, Brett Higginbotham, Rylan Gilbert, and Kenny Bowden.
