Billy Ray Higginbotham, 59, of Hamburg, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Higginbotham was a native of Hamburg and a former resident of Killeen, Texas having moved back to Hamburg in 2000. He was a veteran of the United States Army; a carpenter and a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. (Bunk) and Barbara Bates Higginbotham and his grandparents, Ardell & Iva Mae Bates and Gaston and Janie Higginbotham.
He is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Crane of Kansas and Tracy Streagle of Alaska; two brothers, Frank Higginbotham and wife, Kathryn, of Crossett and Lamar Higginbotham and wife, Janice, of Hamburg; a sister, Beverly Mosley and husband, Wayne, of Crossett; two grandchildren, Luke and Lily Streagle and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Trafalgar Cemetery. Pallbearers are his nephews Dewayne Bussell Brian Higginbotham, Zachary Higginbotham, Chris Higginbotham, Benji Brooks and Alan Richardson. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Turner and Kary Johnson. Memorials may be made to the Trafalgar Cemetery Association, c/o Ben Lawrence, 859 Ashley 105, Montrose, AR 71658.
