He and his partner had to sell the restaurant because a movie theater with live stage shows was being constructed. Then he bought a restaurant on First Street. Shortly afterwards, the Depression hit; his wife, Angelina, worked in the restaurant as the cook and Catherine took care of the family.

Marriage: Information came from Greek marriage certificate, in possession of Carol Kostakos Petranek.

The 1920 census shows Louis and Angelina living at 91 Court Street, with the Botsolas family. Two of the Botsolas boys were not listed: Tom and Gus were probably born after 1920. The first child, Carton, is actually Catherine; the second child, Mary, is actually Bertha.

Conflicting Data:
According to Angelina's naturalization papers, he entered US on Nov 1,1901 in New York, and it gives his birth date 20 July 1877.
Bertha Pappas Pouletsos says he was born 1878; and entered US in 1896?

Never became US Citizen or purchased any property in the US because he entered the country under an alias to avoid the draft and was afraid he would be deported. According to Bertha, his alias name was KOSTA KOLOCOTA. He was 15 when he left Greece.
