Eleni S. Laliotis

(30 Dec 1917 - 2008)

Peter Eftaxias to Carol Petranek, November 24, 2015: My mother was one of 13 children. Her father died and her mother had 4 or 5 children; she remarried a Laliotis. Together they had a combined family of 13.

Email from Peter Eftaxias to Carol Petranek, Aug, 22, 2016:
My mother was born in Magoula. Father's name was Sarantos Laliotis and her mother was Efstathia. I know that Efstathia was the "Second" wife of Sarantos. Of the 13 children in the Laliotis family, some were from the first wife.
I also know that Eftaxias family is closely related to both Kakaletris and Gounaris families. I believe the family ties come from the Laliotis side and not from the Eftaxias side.

Peter Eftaxias to Carol Petranek, phone call on April 20, 2017: Effie had a sister who married Ioannis Ladis from Anavriti; they had one son and 3 daughters: Efstathia who married a man from New York whom Peter's parents arranged the marriage; Katina who went to the Univ of Athens, and a 3rd daughter who married the mayor of Sparta, Tsourounis. [Peter is confused -- he said Effie's sister married a Ladis, but he also told me Effie's maiden name was Ladis]
