Georgios Athanasios Eftaxias

This family may be the uncle of Peter Eftaxias from Toronto, but I do not know how this family is related to Ioannis Eftaxias. In 2016, I took photos of George and Effrosini Eftaxias in the Mystras cemetery and sent them to Peter, but he said that the man was definitely not his uncle -- the photo was of someone much older, and his Uncle George was alive until the mid 1980s.
No, the pictures arenot of my uncle Georgios.
I briefly met my unclein 1974 while on a business trip to Greece.
The pictures in no wayresemble my uncle. The pictures you took look like
they were taken at amuch earlier time period.
Considering that myfather was born in 1914, Georgios was at least four years
older. The pictureindicates an approximate time period of in the 1940's or 1930's.
My uncle was alive andwell until at least mid 1980's.
We need to check thedeath records in Mystra from 1980 to 1990.
I also am told byParaskevakos that there was a person (not related) to my uncle
that was taking careof my uncle and aunt. Apparently my uncle had changed his
will to give his homeand land to this person in exchange for caring of both he and
his invalid wife. Thestory is getting more interesting as I ask questions with Paraskevakos. Now,I'm waiting for call back from the Kakaletris family here in
Toronto. TheKakaletris and Eftaxias families were related somehow.

In July 2014, Carol Petranek went to the Greek Archive Office in Sparta and found the Dimotologion (Town Register) for the Eftaxias Family living in Mistras.
