Lorentz died probably while visiting his youngest son in Guilford Twp. This theory is given since Lorentz is buried in a Mennonite Cemetery near Marion, PA, not far from his son John's farm. His grave stone is carfved in German and quite ledgible after 184 years. (see Robert Stringfellow history)Headstone

Lancaster County Deeds, Book Lb: 184–85.Barbara Newman of Stark County, the wife of John Newman, is named as one of theheirs to Lawrence Herchelroth’s Lancaster County estate, and Catherine Herchelroth is named asLawrence’s widow.136
Barbara was married to John Newman by the time her father died [in 1804]. That parental estatedistribution says that Lawrence left “Catharine Hargelrode his widow and nine children his heirsat law among whom was Barbara who was at the time ... intermarried with one JohnNewman.”1
