Death
GOLDVILLE, May 11. — Mrs. Sallie Ann Furr Finney, 56, died this afternoon at Hays Hospital in Clinton following a lingering illness. She was a native of North Carolina, but had made her home here for 38 years. She was a member of the Goldville Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, R. C. Lunsford of Clinton and H. F. Finney of Charleston; two daughters, Mrs. W. N. Brazel and Mrs. R. C. Craven, both of Goldville; three brothers, J. L. of Clinton, W. T. of Goldville and P. C. Furr of Greenwood; two sisters, Mrs. M. E. Smith of Goldville and Mrs. T. M. Smith Newberry, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Goldville Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. M. A. Bryant, assisted by the Rev. James C. Dickert. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery at Clinton. Pallbearers will be Olin and James Furr, John and Silas Moore, Lester Sweatt, William Boyd, Robert Brazel and Eugene Craven. After 9 o'clock Wednesday morning the body will be at the home of her daughter Mrs. W. N, Brazel, 305 Milton Road, Goldville, to await the hour of the service.The Greenville News, Greenville, South Carolina, May 12, 1948
