Found in 'loose paper' Estate files of Stanly CO NC located @ NC Archives in Raleigh CR.089.508.16 Application For Letters of Administration filed Superior Crt, Stanly CO, NC Dec 14, 1897 in the Matter of the Administration of the Estate of Ransom Furr Dec'd., filed by Emsley Harwood and M.C.Furr who swore that Ransom Furr, late of sd County, is dead without leaving any Will and Testament, and that Emsley Harwood and M.C. Furr are the proper persons entitled to Letters of Adminstration on the sd Estate, that the value of sd Estate, so far as can be ascertained at the date of this application is abt $1,200 of which $600 is real property, and that M.C. Furr Widow, Ephraim Furr Clara A. Dry wife of C.F. Dry, Ransom Furr, Sarah R. Harwood wife of Emsley Harwood, Henry C. Furr, Rufus Furr, (Henry McLurr, Minnie McLurr, Lawson McLurr, ?G___? McClurr, Bellzora McLurr, Mahala McLurr, heirs of Mahala McLurr), H.V. Tucker, Retta L. Freeman, M.C.Furr, Ada Furr, Adam Furr, Clorence[not Clarence] Furr, are entitled as heirs and distributess of sd estate.
