CHINA GROVE - Mrs. Mary "Frances" Furr Kerley, 75 of 1106 Lauren Glen Drive, China Grove passed away Sunday Jan. 6, 2008 at CMC-NorthEast. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel, Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Stephen Burrow will officiate. Mrs. Kerley will be interred at the West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Frances was born on Jan. 27, 1932 in Stanly County to the late James Floyd Furr and the late Zula Bell Drye Furr. She was a resident of the area since 1960. Frances was a seamstress for Kayzer-Roth Hosiery Mill for 15 years and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Enochville. She was active in Sunday School for many years. Frances was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Maynard Kerley of the family home; two daughters Wanda Adams and fiance John Funderud of Harrisburg and Sherry Thomas and husband, Bud of Concord; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sister Novella Love of Mount Pleasant.
