Death

KANNAPOLIS-D. B. Love, Jr., 78, of Concord, died on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at Tucker Hospice House. He was born on Jan. 11, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, NC. The visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church in Concord with Rev. Joseph Dione officiating. The burial will be at Saint James Catholic Church Cemetery in Concord. Mr. Love was a U.S. Army veteran and fought in the Korean War. He was a retired machinist from Cannon Mills and a member of American Legion Post 51 and AKC Hunting Association. He was also a member of Saint James Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Anne (Goodman) Love of Concord, NC; daughters, Joyce Anne Ausmann and husband, Danny, of Concord, Judy Kakavitsas and husband, Petros, of Charlotte, NC, Alice Reynolds and husband, Glenn, of Advance, NC; brother, Donald Love, of Harrisburg, NC; Sisters, Margie Talbert, of Concord, Sally Hunsucker, of Charlotte, Peggy Taylor, of Harrisburg, Rachel Furr, of Concord, and Yvonne Furr, of Concord; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Dolph Brown Love, Sr.; mother, Minnie Elizabeth (Miller) Love; brother, Cronie Love; and sisters, Eunice Hartman and Baby Nell Alice.
