Death
Richard Wayne Furr, 77, died on Monday, December 5, 2022. Born, August 18, 1945, in Laurinburg, NC, he was a son of the late Bob England and the late Esther Mae Chavis Furr. Richard graduated from Cheraw High School where he paid football and basketball. He went on to graduate from Florence Darlington Technical College with a degree in drafting and architecture. Mr. Furr loved working, completing many projects in Chesterfield and Marlboro Counties. He enjoyed boating, fast cars, listening to music, and going to sporting events. Along with his parents, listed above, Richard was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Wayne Furr; and brothers, Jackie Furr, and Prentiss Lee Furr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son, Michael Furr of Myrtle Beach, SC; a daughter, Michelle Furr Kissiah of Wendell, NC; brothers, Perry Marshall England, Ricky England, and Scott Furr; grandchildren, Sean Michael Furr, Christopher Liam Cole Furr, Austin G. Newton, Gabriel Wade Watson, and Robert England, Kessler; and three great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC. Burial will follow in Chavis Cemetery in Bennettsville, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Furr family in their time of grief.Endnotes
