Death
James Allen McAlister, 75, of Mooresville passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023.He was born on January 29, 1948, in Mooresville to the late Roy and Betty Jean Cockrell McAlister. He was a Mustang enthusiast and enjoyed NASCAR. Mostly he enjoyed going on rides on his Harley. He is survived by his wife, Becky McAlister; children, Jamie McAlister (Brittany), David McAlister (Tara), Wendy Gardner, Christopher McAlister, Jennifer Lenker (Joshua); sister, Shelby Gandy; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville with Rev. Donald Caldwell and Rev. Donnie Lackey, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00-5:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28115.
