Death
ALBEMARLE — Roscoe Jenkins Furr, 60, of 1300 Columbus St., died at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 1991, at Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stanly Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bill Thompson. Burial will be in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday night from 7 to 9. Born Jan. 19, 1931, in Stanly County, Furr was a son of the late Willie R. and Truely Bell Furr. He was co-owner of C&M Taxi Co. Survivors include his wife, Helen Andrews Furr; and two sons, Jimmy and Larry Furr, both of Albemarle.Endnotes
