Death
ALBEMARLE — Paul Green Furr, 56, of Route 6, died Friday at Stanly Memorial Hospital The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Richard Almond officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home tonight from 6 to 8. Born July 4, 1928, in Stanly County, a son of the late William Rufus and Trula Hatley Furr, he was a driver for C&M Taxi Co. of Albemarle. A veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he was a member of Albemarle VFW. Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Green Furr of the home and Gary Donald Furr of Albemarle; a brother, Roscoe Furr of Route 6, Albemarle, and seven grandchildren.Endnotes
